George Barbier was a French Art Deco artist and illustrator known for his fashion illustrations, advertisements, and theater designs. He was active in the early 20th century and is considered to be one of the most important Art Deco illustrators. He was known for his highly stylized, elegant figures and his use of color. His work was featured in many magazines and books of the time, and he was also a designer for the theater and the ballet.
